The hard part of buying a present for someone with taste is that they already own the obvious things. What follows is what is on the shelf for under a hundred dollars, and who each one actually suits. Prices are the shop prices, which is what you pay if you collect from us in Canowindra. Cushions and throws that post with delivery included cost more on the website by the amount of the delivery, and small pieces post from twelve dollars on their own, or free alongside a piece with delivery included. A good share of this is one of a kind, so the shop page is the truth if something has gone.
Under twenty five dollars
Halo pressed tin ornament, eight dollars. The thing to put in a card instead of a gift voucher.
French linen tea towel, seventeen dollars. Linen gets softer with every wash, so this is a present that improves after it is given.
Mozart candle holder from eleven dollars, or the Bach at thirteen. Small, heavy, and they look considered on a table.
St Remy low profile tin, twenty five dollars. For someone whose kitchen bench is already full.
Twenty five to sixty dollars
Hand forged iron candle holders, twenty five dollars. The one on this list that suits a man who says he does not want anything.
Makes Me Happy stripe cushion, thirty dollars. Cheerful without being loud.
The French linen ruffle lumbars at forty dollars, in natural or pink pinstripe. A safe present for a house you have only visited once.
Quilted navy and cream cushion, fifty dollars, or the euro size at sixty.
Sixty five to a hundred
Vintage Boronia floral, sixty five dollars. Cut from old furnishing cloth, so there is exactly one.
Red Check european, seventy dollars. Bed furniture for someone who has just moved.
Bramble 25cm lampshade, eighty five dollars. Changes a room more than its price suggests, and fits most bedside lamps.
Organic cotton waffle throw, one hundred dollars, in several colours. The present people keep on the end of the bed for years.
If none of that fits
A piece made from fabric that already means something to the person usually beats anything bought. Curtains from a family house, a length someone kept, even a shirt. That is a custom order, and it takes longer than posting a parcel, so it is worth asking early.
Otherwise the whole shelf is here, and we are in Canowindra Tuesday to Friday, and Saturday until two, if you would rather hold the thing before you buy it.
